This is our Old School Espresso Blend. It’s crafted so that it pulls a full-bodied, punchy, but subtly sweet shot--Old School Style.
What is Old School Espresso?
Over the past decade, espresso trends have shifted toward lighter, sweeter coffees that produce vibrant, fruit-forward shots with minimal roastiness. At our café, we often use coffees like these for our espresso. But we also recognize that many people still crave that classic espresso profile—the kind that first sparked their love for espresso in the '90s or early 2000s. That’s why we created this blend: to honor that traditional style while putting our own twist on it. We think you’ll love the result.
This blend works extraordinarily well for espresso, but is also quite popular for drip coffee. Many Short Sleeves customers use this as their daily drinker.
Where did we get the name? Well, we used to say that Debbie Downer changed her last name after drinking this. But it's just a legend.
Farm & Region Info:
These coffees all come from 3 continents…a blend of African coffees, Central American coffees, and South American coffees. We work with our importing partner to expertly craft something seasonal that is going to taste good year round no matter harvesting seasons. This is challenging, and as our importer says, “I’ve never worked so hard to develop a blend as I have with this one”. That being said, the exact farms used in this blend rotate throughout the year.
